By leading strategic commercial revitalization and redevelopment initiatives and providing targeted support to key industries, we also support the success of our communities and workforce.
Driving Growth and Community Impact in 2025
AAEDC’s 2025 Impact Report highlights our organization’s major achievements and reinforces our commitment to driving business growth and community revitalization across Anne Arundel County. Through a compelling mix of data and real stories, the report showcases the measurable outcomes of our targeted financing, hands on support, place-based investment, and strategic partnerships, illustrating the full reach of AAEDC’s work throughout the county.
Keeping Business Moving Through Unprecedented Challenges
Founded during the COVID 19 pandemic, A Triple CCC Logistics was created by William Cox to meet the growing need for reliable transportation while building opportunity through skilled work. When the Key Bridge collapse brought operations to a sudden halt, AAEDC stepped in with recovery support through the Key Bridge Small Business Direct Grant Program, building on Cox’s earlier participation in the Inclusive Ventures Program. Today, the business is back on track and focused on expanding its fleet, creating jobs, and continuing to serve the region’s logistics needs.

Fueling Business Growth in South County
First connected to AAEDC in 2018, Jayleen Fonseca turned a former Churchton bar into Jay’s Latin Inspired Kitchen, now an award-winning restaurant and thriving local business. With support from three VOLT Fund loans and the Inclusive Ventures Program, her journey is a powerful example of grassroots economic growth in Anne Arundel County.

Supporting New Jobs at a Tech Startup
After connecting with AAEDC through the Fort Meade Alliance’s Micro Business Mentorship Program, Andy Naylor secured a Next Stage Tech Fund loan to help grow Datacraft Solutions. The funding supported the hiring of three new employees, strengthening the company’s capacity to serve government contracts and fueling growth in Anne Arundel County’s tech sector.
Investing in Entrepreneurship & Commercial Revitalization in Glen Burnie
After immigrating to the U.S. with just $200, Asrorjon “Jon” Shukurov built Interworld Cleaning into a successful local business. With support from AAEDC and the Maryland Small Business Development Center, Jon used funding from the Arundel Community Reinvestment (ACR) Fund to revitalize an older commercial building in Glen Burnie. Today, the space is home to Interworld and two additional minority owned businesses, helping strengthen the local commercial corridor and community.
